No fewer than three aspirants for the Akoko-Edo Ward 08 councillorship race have withdrawn from the contest. Some of them stated that they would only run when it is the appointed time, while others explained that they believe it is not yet their time. Out of the 16 aspirants in Atte community, Akoko-Edo Local Government Area, four have so far stepped down.
